—Sacred/Ceremonial Tattooing:
Q: What exactly IS Sacred/Ceremonial Tattooing?
A: Sacred/Ceremonial Tattooing is the art of performing ritual in honor of infusing your tattoo with a message with deep meaning (from you, to you) that you would benefit to be reminded of regularly so you can live your most fulfilled life.
We do this by creating an altar out of crystals, herbs and dried flowers and a special manifestation ritual using candles and anointing oils, calling in something you would like to have in your life. Common ones are “self love and freedom” “it’s okay to just be happy” “I am capable and powerful”
We can have a tea ceremony if you like with herbal tea made from my dear friends garden here in Appalachia.
There are many tarot decks and you can choose the one that calls your attention and we can do a reading. Through that you are bound to learn something about yourself and your journey on this plane.
Another part of what I feel makes these tattoos sacred is I give the client tons of freedom to collaborate on their designs with me. I want these tattoos to bring my clients power and love and that is achieved by taking the time needed to be absolutely sure the client LOVES the design and feels heard and understood before making any permanent markings on their body.
—- this is rare but if we don’t feel like we have really gotten the drawing just right yet, we an always reschedule the appointment and the client will only be charged the $50 per hour spent on drawing at that appointment. When rescheduling, a new deposit of $50 will be required for the new date.
— Cancelation/Rescheduling/NoShow Policy
Q: What if I need to cancel my appointment?
A: Any appointment cancelations due to illness or family emergency at any time qualify for rescheduling with the use of the original booking fee one time only.
Q: Can I reschedule my appointment if something comes up in my life and I’m unavailable to make my scheduled time?
A: Yes you can reschedule your appointment and transfer your existing booking fee to a new date as long as the change is made 7 or more days before the original appointment date. It is possible it will be a month or more before your new appointment can be made. Any changes made to the schedule less than 7 days from the original appointment result in a forfeited booking fee and to get back on the schedule a new booking fee will be required.
Q: What happens if I forget about my appointment and No Show?
A: No Showing your appointment is inconvenient for your artist who is counting on your arrival. You will receive a confirmation email days before the appointment to remind you. Anyone who “No Shows” their appointment more than once will be Blacklisted and unable to book again in the future.
—Touch ups
Q: Am I able to come in for a touch up if some of my tattoo needs a little love after healing?
A: Absolutely. Touch ups are free within the first 3 months after your tattoo. To be clear, a touch up is fixing up anything that is already there; a break in a line, some missing color... anything that is already in existence that needs a little extra attention. Anything new or added will be charged.
Q: Are touchups free for white ink tattoos?
A: Touchups on white tattoos are not usually free. White ink tattoos need multiple sessions to be completely saturated and have a finished look. Sometimes two sessions can do it, sometimes three are necessary. After we have given the white tattoo at least three sessions at a paid rate, then touchups can be free for further need, though after the three sessions it is unlikely the tattoo will need any more attention.
